Project Management Principles

We work with nature, not against it. So we have to listen and plan carefully

Before we start building we have to understand the foundations we are building on

A passion for creating green value

Our ambition is to profit from increasing value over time. Our two business models share a common objective: Green forests, wild nature, and a healthy environment. In one case, we are the property owner and „sell“ annual results. In the other case, we act as contractors to rehabilitate properties on behalf of investors. These properties can be owned by the investors or – which we particularly prefer – be protected landscapes. This ensures that the forest continues to sequester CO2 and generate returns year after year, even after our work is completed.

Preproject: Research and investigations

At the outset of our renaturation and reforestation projects, we initiate with a comprehensive Preliminary Property Investigation. Our team meets online with clients to introduce the project and understand their specific requirements, ensuring we tailor our approach to their vision. We utilize advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to identify potential properties, followed by meticulous on-site inspections to gather essential data on soil, water, and existing ecosystems. This thorough analysis allows us to present a well-rounded preliminary investigation report, highlighting the most suitable properties for the project.

Phase 1: Situation Analysis

The Situation Analysis phase is where we dive deeper into the specifics of the selected site. We begin with a kickoff meeting to align our goals with the client’s expectations. Our experts then conduct detailed on-site inspections, collecting soil and water samples, and documenting existing flora and fauna. This data is rigorously analyzed to identify any problem areas or environmental hazards. We compile our findings into a comprehensive analysis report, providing strategic recommendations for the renaturation process.

Phase 2: Planning

In the Planning phase, we collaborate closely with the client through joint workshops to discuss analysis results and set clear renaturation goals. Together, we define the desired end states and develop a detailed renaturation plan, complete with timelines, milestones, and resource allocations. This phase is crucial for ensuring that every aspect of the project is meticulously planned, from methods and techniques to personnel needs. The detailed plan is then presented to the client for feedback and official approval, setting the stage for effective implementation.

Phase 3: Implementation

The Implementation phase is where plans transform into tangible actions. We mobilize resources, procure necessary materials, and assemble a dedicated project team. Our experts then execute the renaturation measures, such as planting and watercourse design, with continuous monitoring to ensure progress. We adapt to any unforeseen challenges, maintaining a flexible and proactive approach. The work phase concludes with a thorough completion report and an on-site visit to document progress and prepare for the next evaluation.

Phase 4: Evaluation and Client Assessment

During the Evaluation and Client Assessment phase, we present the completed work to the client, discussing the achieved progress and addressing any deviations from the plan. This phase is vital for gathering client feedback and ensuring their satisfaction. We document the evaluation outcomes in a detailed report, including suggestions for future improvements. The phase culminates with formal acceptance protocols, where the client officially acknowledges their satisfaction with the project’s progress.

Phase 5: Billing and Preparation for the Next Phase

As we reach the Billing and Preparation for the Next Phase, we compile all costs and expenses into a transparent billing document, reviewed and discussed with the client for clarity and understanding. Once final payment is settled, we leverage insights from the current phase to optimize and plan the next steps. This forward-thinking approach ensures that each phase builds on the successes of the previous one, paving the way for continued progress and success in our renaturation and reforestation efforts.

“Our investors and sponsors can relax and wait for growing value. Our transparency policy even allows livecams, so investors can check progress in real time. And the suggested project structure allows project stops after every single phase without further obligations.”
