For Forest Projects on foreign Properties we try to Partner with local Governments and „rent“ Project Areas in Protected Landscapes
This guarantees our customers that the forests are really protected for a long time.
Our basic calculation is 2500 trees/ha, Compost (~200 m3/ha = 2 cm layer) and Biochar (~20 tons/ha). If less compost is needed during the project the planting area gets bigger and more trees are planted until the planned budget is spent.
Every ha of new forest has stored ~60 tons of CO2 directly after the application of Biochar and a capacity of ~5-10 tons of CO2 per year through growth of the trees.
The final project report will show the number of trees, the area, the number of applied tons of Biochar and Compost and pictures of the area before and after our services and pictures of the teams working on the property. This business model is meant to show an investment area in your ESG report once, not annually.
Of course the sponsors can visit the project areas to join the work or as team building events.
On our own Property we have a annual project Approach:
Year after year the forest area will grow depending on sponsors and budget. The business partners can sponsor selected areas on our property and give specific names („Rockscan Canyon“, „Treehuggers Forest“, „Scout Lake Camp“..) for google maps.
Again the topsoil is prepared with compost and Biochar.
Every ha of new forest has stored ~60 tons of CO2 directly after the application of Biochar and a capacity of ~5-10 tons of CO2 per year through growth of the trees.
In this business model the sponsors get reports for „their“ area every year, including pictures, numbers and facts. The CO2 storage numbers per year can be used in the ESG report. The project area can be visited by employees for team events.
„Team building and forest building go along pretty well. And years later we will still see our impact!“
